This is our opportunity to advance the mission of the church locally, nationally, and globally.

I came to North Point Community Church in 2008 at the invitation of a friend. In fall of 2010, I started dating a woman, and as our first date was concluding and I was trying to negotiate our second date, she said she would be out of town next week at a singles event with her church. I realized she also went to North Point. Fast-forward, we have raised two children in North Point's children’s environments, led a married small group, and I have been a Transit leader for the last two years.
What gets me most excited about engaging in the Deeper/Wider vision and initiative is growing children’s and student ministries. I honestly believe we are seeing a shift in Gen Z and later generations engaging with their churches and returning to church. The most amazing volunteers at North Point Community Church are our high school volunteers who volunteer in our Wamba Land, UpStreet, and Transit ministries. They are giving out of what some would say are the best years of their lives. They are piled up with AP courses, dual enrollment, and a hyper-competitive environment to get into college. But they show up, they engage, and they deliver.

I serve every other Sunday in Connections. I have had the opportunity to serve in several areas at North Point, but Connections is my favorite so far. I serve with THE BEST team who shares the same enthusiasm and love to those who walk in our church. We get to welcome people who are here for the first time and help them navigate where to go; we get to assist people who walk in to ask a simple question, and we get to comfort those who come in and ask for someone to pray for them. At the Vision Night kickoff, Andy said we are an outward-facing church, and I feel that is what we try to demonstrate at Connections.
I attended the Advance Commitment Night, and it was such a great night of prayer, worship, and an impactful message. As I was walking out of the East Auditorium, I saw the sign for the Connections environment. I thought to myself, Wow. How many more Connections environments will the Deeper/Wider initiative get to support? My commitment contribution is on behalf of the future Connections environments that will affect so many people nationally and internationally. I pray for the volunteers and staff of all the new churches that Deeper/Wider will impact.

Selfishly, what excites us most is what God will do in our own hearts as a result of participating in the Deeper/Wider vision and initiative. We felt an immense pull when we first heard the vision...it was as if God was asking us to lean in and dig deeper than we had before. We can't wait!

This church changed our lives. We are grateful… we are grateful for how the ministries of North Point have added to our walk of faith. We are grateful for the influence and impact North Point has had on our children’s walk of faith and now our grandchildren. We are honored to participate and partner in the ministry of Deeper/Wider to expand this ministry.
